The Malaysia section is becoming WP:UNDUE, apparently because there is some nationalistic wrangling about precedence, basically off-topic for this article.
Read the article carefully. If by definition 'batik' means technique where resist wax are concerned, then there are plenty of analogous technique outside of Indonesian batik (including egypt) which are called "batik" by English sources and are relevant to be discussed. In any case, Indonesian batik still features prominently in this page. Changes occur because previously too many addition that solely focus on Indonesian batik has accumulated and the article's good article status was threatened. A dedicated Indonesian batik page seems appropriate while this page talks more generally. Alteaven (talk) 03:30, 3 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
